Workshops for Early Childhood Educators

November 14 - the ABC's of Behavior:  How to help children learn self control, reduce problem behavior, and talk to parents about concerns:  please bring and share any specific issues or troubles you would like to address

December 12 - Music and Movement:  come ready to move and learn new techniques and activities!

January 9 - Social and Emotional Skills:  Help children feel comfortable with themselves and get along with others

February 13 - Beyond Counting:  Hands on activities to boost the range of Math skills 

March 13 - Science Experiences:  come prepared to experiment, share ideas, and explore a variety of hands-on tasks in all areas of science

April 3 - (the 10th is spring break):  Physical Development:  Why Fine Motor, Gross Motor and sensory play are necessary for every child

May 8 - Make up

The Tolland Family Resource Center offers free workshops in the Core Areas of Knowledge.


These workshops are relevant to those working with children from birth through age eight.


Workshops are held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in  the 2nd grade  conference room at Birch Grove Primary School, 247 Rhodes Road, Tolland
